Programmable logic controllers
PLC programming: control logic, operating sequences and safety interlocks.
Solutions
Automation is the direction the company is taking. We are working on concrete projects today, and building this capability into a full part of our activity.
Areas
PLC programming: control logic, operating sequences and safety interlocks.
Reading and integrating the machine's existing data, in particular CAN J1939 and Modbus, rather than adding a separate layer alongside it.
Control and monitoring interfaces developed in-house, usable on a phone as well as on a computer.
Project under way
We are currently developing a complete remote control and supervision solution for a North American grain installation spread across two separate sites: two diesel engines, two high-voltage installations and a single mobile application.
One programmable controller per site handles all decision logic and safety interlocks, integrating engine data over CAN J1939 and electrical measurements over Modbus. Control is carried out from a mobile application, also accessible on a computer, which brings both sites into a single view.
For the operator this means running and monitoring both installations without travelling to them: an alarm is seen immediately, a shutdown can be triggered remotely, and trips between sites are no longer needed for a simple check.
Approach
An automation project rarely fails on the programming alone. It fails at the boundary between trades: the mechanic points to the electrician, the electrician to the programmer, and the operator waits.
We cover all three. The machine, its electrical installation and the software that controls it are handled by the same contact, which removes the areas where nobody feels responsible.
