Jonas grew up in Les Ponts-de-Martel and went through all his schooling there. The company is based there today and works across French-speaking Switzerland.

Background
From the field to automation
Construction machinery mechanic
4 years of apprenticeship as a construction machinery mechanic at Zmoos, hands on the machines. From the age of 18, his first breakdown call-outs across French-speaking Switzerland.
Field technician
From the age of 19, Jonas spent 5 years at Liebherr in German-speaking Switzerland as a field technician. Work at customer sites, on demanding machines.
Agricultural machinery
A year in Canada with a John Deere agricultural machinery importer. A different brand, different methods, and farms on an entirely different scale.
Electrical engineering in automation
Back in Switzerland, Jonas took up studies in electrical engineering and automation, still under way. This dual skill set, mechanical and electronic, is what lets us today tackle a crankshaft seal as readily as a CAN network or an electrical cabinet.

A way of working
Diagnose before replacing
We look for the cause first, backed by measurements. Only then does anything come apart.
Travel rather than immobilise
Sending a machine to a workshop means days of downtime. Most work is done where it came to a stop.
Direct contact
A small structure with direct contact: you speak to the person who will work on your machine. Nothing gets lost between the phone call and the site.
Seeing it through
A stubborn fault or an unusual request: that is often what makes our day interesting.
Outside the workshop
A taste for a challenge
What interests him are the projects that do not exist yet. Jonas built a Deutz tractor fitted with a 16-litre V10 engine, to see how far the idea could be taken. That appetite for a challenge has become a way of life, at work as much as outside it. Whether walking to England or finishing the Embrunman, it is always the same drive to see things through.
